Yaliang Wang received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Automation from Department of Control Science and Engineering at Zhejiang University in 2013.
From 2012 to 2013, He worked with his supervisor Professor Rong Xiong and co-advisor Assistant Professor Qiuguo Zhu in balance maintenance for humanoid robots subjected to external disturbances. His thesis was awarded as the Zhejiang University 2013 session excellent B.S. design/thesis. His first conference paper about standing balance control won the “Best Student Application Paper Award” of IFAC ICONS 2013.
He joined Northwestern University in September 2014 and became a member of Image and Video Processing Lab led by Professor Aggelos K. Katsaggelos. In June 2016 he earned his Master Degree in Computer Science and joined Twitter, Inc. after his graduation.
